This song was originally written in May of 2014, in response to learning that the City of Detroit had blatantly turned off public water sources of people living in low-income and primarily Black neighborhoods just as the summer heat was returning. We were just finding out that the public water systems of Flint, MI were contaminated with lead and public water would be switched to the polluted Flint River. This was amidst the then still threat of the now approved Keystone XL Pipeline and nearly 2 years before a massive gathering would occur on the banks of the Cannonball River at the confluence of the Great Missouri, in the name of Protecting Sacred Water from the now flowing Dakota Access Pipeline at Standing Rock, ND. This song is an offering to Water & Land Protectors globally. With deep gratitude for your service and sacrifice. RIP Charity Hicks. Aloha 'Āina

Bio: Sara Tone has been dedicated to bringing a steady stream of music that expresses the Joy’s and Celebration of Creation.
